The 2015 Barrett-Jackson Car Auction kicks into high gear and roars into town this weekend!  Now is your chance to put the pedal to the metal and get in on the action at the “World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions” in Scottsdale.  Since 1971, Barrett-Jackson has been home to the most unique, eccentric and most

sought-after cars in the world.
This year’s Barrett-Jackson has some serious Hollywood show-stoppers! The 1965 Kirkham Shelby Cobra re-creation was made for the first “Ironman” in 2008. The car features an all-aluminum body but no motor, transmission or rear end.  The Woodill Wildfire was the first fiberglass sports car with an impressive silver screen career!  The red-roadster was featured in “Johnny Dark” (1954) with Tony Curtis and Piper Laurie; “Written on the Wind” (1956) with Rock Hudson; and the 1954 Danny Kaye flick “Knock on Wood.”

The prestigious Ron Pratte collection is up for bid that includes the BMW Isetta sliding window coupe pictured above.  If you’re not a motor-head, there are other things to see at the Barrett-Jackson Auction.   Not every car at the auction goes vrooom.  Check out the restored pedal cars on the auction block.
Did you know you can take a spin around the track?  Pick out a car and hear the roar of the engine yourself when take it for a spin.

Kids of all ages can jump in the simulator and do a few virtual laps around a track.
