It was a busy 2016 for Mohave County officials who conducted a Presidential Preference Election before the August and November primary and general elections. County elections director Allen Tempert said 2017 will unfold at a slower pace for his department.

“It’s going to be a very boring year around here,” Tempert said. He said staff will review last year’s elections in an effort to improve going forward.

Tempert said the department is only aware of one election that will take place this year. He said each of the five two year terms on the Bullhead City Pest Abatement District board will be up for grabs in a May 17 election.

Tempert said the next big election coming up in the county will be the August, 2018 primary.
