Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Megan Lee Husted, 27, and inmate Michael William Ruane, both of Lake Havasu City, for conspiracy to commit escape in the first degree, felony, on Thursday (8/21).  Detectives received information from jail personnel on Tuesday(8/19) regarding inmate Ruane was planning to escape from the Mohave County Jail with the assistance of Husted, his girlfriend.  On August 5, 2014, Ruane was booked into the jail by the Lake Havasu Police Department for armed robbery, prohibited possessor of a firearm and two counts of aggravated assault.  His bond was set at one million dollars.  Late Thursday (8/21) morning, at about 10:30 a.m., detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2900 block of Green Acres Drive in Lake Havasu City where Husted was taken into custody without incident.  During conversations with Husted, she acknowledged the conversations with Ruane, but she said she wasn’t going to act on them.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  Detectives contacted inmate Ruane at the Mohave County Jail. During conversations with Ruane, he denied any conversations with his girlfriend about escaping from the jail.  Ruane was arrested on the additional charge.Michael William RuaneMegan Lee Husted
