Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Janet Marie McCarthy, 54, and Karla Sue Wilson, 46, both of Kingman, early Sunday (1/11) morning. McCarthy was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along driving with a suspended license and two warrants issued by Kingman Municipal Court for failure to pay fines and a probation violation, misdemeanors. Wilson was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 12:20 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Bank Street at Gordon Drive. Deputies contacted McCarthy, the driver. A records check showed McCarthy to have a suspended driver’s license and an active warrant. McCarthy was taken into custody without incident. Deputies contacted the passenger identified as Wilson. A search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance located on the passenger’s floorboard. Wilson was taken into custody without incident. They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
