Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Scott Doyle, 44, of Kingman, Friday (1/16) evening for aggravated DUI, aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% and aggravated extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15% and less than 20%, felonies. Deputies observed a scooter swerving numerous times in its lane and in the opposite lane. Deputies further observed the scooter turn onto Benton Street without stopping at the posted stop sign. Approximately 10:10 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Benton Street near John L Avenue. Deputies contacted Doyle, the operator. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Doyle. A records check showed Doyle’s license to be suspended. During conversations with Doyle, he admitted to have been drinking. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Doyle was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .197%. He was booked into the jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
