Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jandi Lynn Archibald, 36, and Wade Alden Anderson, 31, both of Kingman, Saturday (12/12) evening. Archibald was arrested on two counts of forgery, two counts of fraudulent schemes and two counts of possession of forged instruments, felonies. Anderson was arrested for forgery, fraudulent schemes and possession of forged instruments, felonies. Approximately 8:03 p.m., deputies responded to a business in the 2900 block of John L Avenue in reference to a fraud investigation. Dispatch advised that both suspects were still at the business. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party. The RP said that a female subject came in to play bingo last night and tonight and she paid with checks. The RP further said that a male subject came with her tonight. The RP advised that they called the bank and learned that the checking account had been closed. The subjects were later identified as Archibald and Anderson. Deputies observed the checking account belonged to another person and the signatures were misspelled and forged. Deputies contacted the account holder and learned that Archibald and Anderson use to be roommates and he did not give them permission to use his checks. Deputies contacted Archibald and Anderson. During conversations with Archibald, she admitted to paying the business with two checks. Archibald and Anderson were taken into custody without incident. They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
