Lake Havasu City’s longest tenured employee was recognized during Tuesday’s city council meeting. City Manager Charlie Cassens said Wastewater Division Manager Doug Thomas celebrated his 40th anniversary of employment with the city back in April
“Doug isn’t just somebody whose managed to stick around the city for 40 years. Doug is a stellar employee. H represents this agency extremely well. He is highly respected in his industry,” Cassens said. “He has brought his division to a level of efficiency and operational excellence that I have not seen anywhere else. My background is in water and wastewater as you know, and I’ve seen few operations. And frankly, I’m proud to say that we have the best here that I’ve ever seen.”
Cassens presented Thomas a plaque thanking him and recognizing his 4 decades of service to Lake Havasu City.
