homic The Mohave County Sheriff’s office is investigating a homicide apparently arising from a domestic violence incident in the western Arizona community of Yucca. The agency is providing only preliminary details of the matter that occurred at a home on S Sherry Road.

Spokeswoman Trish Carter said deputies first responded to a domestic violence assault report at that residence at 6:50 p.m. Sunday. The subject had left the area before deputies arrived but the officers returned at 9:15 p.m. when reporting parties indicated the subject returned.

Carter said deputies located one male and one female in the home that suffered gunshot wounds. The sheriff’s office will disclose whether it was the male or female or both who were killed.

The suspect was arrested when he exited the home at 9:56 p.m. The names of all of the involved parties are withheld as the investigation continues.
