Saturday afternoon around 12:30 pm Golden Valley Fire responded to a reported fully-involved home fire in the 4300 block of W. Collins Drive.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire in the abandoned home which was vacated approximately 2008 following the death of the occupant.  The neighbors stated the home has seen vandalism over the past several years, and the property owners have no insurance on the home.  The Golden Valley Fire marshal was notified, and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined, although officials said it is suspicious since there are no utilities.  Officials advised that all such structures should be secured if possible to discourage unauthorized entry.
