A group of about ten young adults enjoyed overnight lodging in Kingman Monday. They are pedaling across America to raise awareness and money for affordable housing.
The group began their 3,800 mile journey on June 20, in Portland, Maine. They intend to finish their ride September 1 in Santa Barbara, California.
Rosa Owen is a school teacher who said she has encountered students, some of them homeless, who could benefit from affordable housing. She said helping that cause and enjoying a cycle ride across the nation is a “great combination.”
Information about the ride, affordable housing issues and an opportunity to donate can be found on a website by googling “Bike and Build.”
