JSN - Assault & DConMohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Wendy Joy Watson, 54, of Golden Valley, Sunday (10/11) evening for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/dangerous instrument, a felony.  At about 4:45 p.m., deputies responded to an assault report at a residence in the 4200 block of Estrella Drive.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party, a 57-year-old male victim.  The victim said that he has been having problems with his neighbors directly behind his residence.  The victim further said that his neighbor started arguing with him as he was walking in the street near his neighbor’s residence on Simon Drive.  The victim reported that during the argument that Watson, the neighbors’ wife, came out to the street and struck him with a long aluminum pole which caused injury to his hand.  Deputies observed a cut on the victims’ wrist where he was bleeding.  Golden Valley Fire Department responded and treated the victim.  Deputies contacted a witness.  The witness confirmed the victim’s statements.  Deputies contacted Watson in the 7400 block of Simon Drive.  During conversations with Watson, she said she felt threatened by the victim when she lifted the pole up quickly and it must have struck his arm.  Watson was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
