Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Phyllis Dawn Lake, 46, of Kingman, early Thursday (3/19) evening for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, felony, and disorderly conduct per domestic violence, misdemeanor. Approximately 6:22 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 3100 block of Carver Avenue. During the investigation, deputies took Lake into custody without incident. A 43-year-old female victim said that Lake had been drinking. The victim further said that she told Lake earlier not to come back because she was drunk and angry. The victim reported that Lake returned and she was causing a disturbance. Deputies contacted a witness who confirmed the victim’s statements. Deputies contacted Lake. Lake was taken into custody without incident and placed in the patrol unit. Deputies observed Lake kicking the interior of the patrol vehicle, while they continued speaking with witnesses. Lake became combative when the deputy opened the door on the patrol vehicle. Lake grabbed the deputy’s arm and dug her nails into his arm. Lake was escorted out of the patrol unit while she continued to yell and scream. After a brief struggle, Lake was further restrained. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
