Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Keith Hubbard and Samantha Lichele Greenwood, both 29 and both transients, late Thursday (3/19) afternoon. Hubbard was arrested for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Greenwood was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony, and hindering prosecution, misdemeanor. Approximately 4:00 p.m., deputies and a DPS Officer responded to a welfare check on a pregnant woman who appeared to be on drugs outside of the Petro station at 970 Blake Ranch Road. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Hubbard and Greenwood. Deputies observed Greenwood to be pregnant. During the investigation, Hubbard became disorderly and combative. Hubbard resisted orders. A taser was used multiple times on Hubbard. At times the taser had a slight effect on Hubbard. Eventually, Hubbard was placed into custody after he resisted and struggled. During the incident Greenwood interfered with the officers orders. Citizens assisted by keeping Greenwood away from the incident. Later, Greenwood was taken into custody without further incident. Medical responded and treated Hubbard. A search of Hubbard revealed a glass pipe with residue. A search of Greenwood’s purse revealed a glass pipe with residue. Hubbard was placed into shackles and hand cuffs. He was transported by a jail van to the Mohave County Jail where he was booked into the jail. Greenwood was transported to the Kingman Regional Medical Center where she was determined to be under the influence of an unknown substance. Greenwood was medically cleared for incarceration. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without further incident. Child Protective Services have been notified.
