|Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John West Wilson, 54, of Kingman, early Tuesday (12/15) afternoon for aggravated DUI – suspended driver’s license, felony. Approximately 1:20 p.m., deputies pulled behind a red Ford truck at Andy Devine Avenue and Hualapai Mountain Road while the traffic light was red. Deputies observed a pool of fluid under the truck. Deputies followed the truck as the vehicle turned right onto Hualapai Mountain Road and observed the fluid leaking from under the truck which smelled like gasoline. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hualapai Mountain Road and Jackson. Deputies contacted Wilson, the driver, regarding the smell of gasoline coming from his vehicle. Wilson advised that he just filled his tank and he probably overfilled. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Wilson. A records check revealed Wilson to have a suspended driver’s license. Deputies observed a cup containing beer inside the vehicle. Wilson was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .317%. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
