Andrea MartinezMohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Andrea Dawn Martinez, 48, and Raymond Michael Lopez, 37, both of Kingman, Friday, June 5. Martinez was arrested for aggravated DUI – suspended license, aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% and aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15%, felonies. Lopez was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of open liquid container, misdemeanors. Approximately 2:24 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Lass Avenue. Deputies contacted Martinez, the driver, and Lopez, the driver. Deputies observed an opened can of beer in the passenger side cup holder. Deputies also observed a glass marijuana pipe with residue on the passenger floorboard. Lopez advised the beer and pipe belonged to him. Lopez was taken into custody without incident. He was transported booked into the Mohave County Jail. Deputies questioned Martinez and she advised that her driver’s license is suspended. Deputies had Martinez exit the vehicle and observed her swaying as she walked. During conversations with Martinez, she admitted to having two beers earlier. A records check confirmed Martinez to have a suspended driver’s license. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Martinez was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where an analysis revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .159%. She was booked into the jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
