Ajia Denise CashAjia Denise Cash, 33, and Nathan Lamar Chatman Sr., 36, both of Kingman, were arrested on June 14 by Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies.

Cash was arrested for aggravated DUI – suspended license, felony. Chatman was arrested on two misdemeanor warrants for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court and probation violation issued by Kingman Municipal Court.

At about 3:10 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Packard Avenue. Deputies contacted Cash, the driver, and Chatman, the passenger. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Cash.

During conversations with Cash, she said that she had one shot earlier and she spit it out. A records check showed Cash’s license to be suspended. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Cash was taken into custody without incident. A records check showed Chatman to have arrest warrants. Chatman was taken into custody without incident.

They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. A blood sample was taken from Cash to be submitted to the DPS Crime Lab for further analysis. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
