Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Paige Saleema Bhat, 21, of Tucson, early Sunday (1/4) afternoon for aggravated harassment per domestic violence and aggravated domestic violence, felonies. Approximately 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to a contempt of court at a residence in the 5600 block of South Desert Lakes Drive. While enroute, dispatch advised that the reporting party said that Bhat left the residence in a taxi. Deputies learned that the reporting party has an order of protection against Bhat. Deputies located the taxi at a convenience store parking lot and medical was on the scene. Deputies approached the scene and recognized Bhat from previous contacts. Bhat was complaining of abdomen pain. Medical transported Bhat to Western Arizona Medical Center where she was treated and later released. Investigations determined that Bhat stopped at the victim’s residence and she also left a letter a few days prior for the victim. During conversations with Bhat, she said the judge informed her not to have any contact with the victim. A computer history check showed Bhat to have numerous domestic violence violations. Bhat was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
