Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Steven Brown, 44, and Blayne Deakin, 17, both of Kingman, Friday (11/27) afternoon.  Brown was arrested for aggravated harassment per domestic violence, a felony.

Deakin was arrested for burglary, a felony, and criminal damage, a misdemeanor.  At about 1:40 p.m., deputies responded to a possible burglary report at a residence in the 3800 block of Northfield Avenue.  Dispatch advised that the reporting party observed two male subjects at the back door of a residence.  As deputies responded, dispatch advised that the two male subjects took off running through an alleyway.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party.  The RP said that his father owns the property and he rents the house out.  The RP further said that they have been having problems with burglaries at the residence.  The RP advised observing two male subjects at the back door and the younger male subject was reaching through the window trying to open the door.  Deputies observed the window on the back door had been broken and no one was home.  In the meantime, deputies located the subjects identified as Brown and Deakin in the area.  The subjects were transported to the scene where the reporting party identified them both as the suspects.  During conversations with Brown, he advised that he stopped by to visit his ex-girlfriend.  A records check showed Brown’s ex-girlfriend to have an order of protection against him.  During the investigation, Brown’s ex-girlfriend, a 29-year-old victim, showed up at her residence.  The victim said that Brown has been harassing her for the past few days and she has reported the incidents to deputies.  Brown was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The juvenile referral has been submitted to the Mohave County Juvenile Probation for Deakin.
