No further jail time has been imposed in an animal abuse case that was resolved through a plea agreement. Judge Billy Sipe placed Jennifer Lintel, Kingman, on three year’s probation during a May 5 sentencing hearing.
Animal Neglect Cast Resolved
Sipe directed Lintel to perform 25 hours of community work service and to pay restitution totaling $425, the cost of putting down her burro last September. Lintel pled guilty to an animal cruelty charge associated with her malnourished donkey that also suffered from a severe leg infrection.
Defense attorney ira Shiflett said Lintel lacked funds for use of a veterinarian and failed in her effort to care for the donkey that had a history of infections for biting at bugs around its legs.
