A bicyclist is hurt and shaken, but fortunately, alive after two men steal his backpack at gunpoint. It happened around three Tuesday morning in Downtown Tempe. Tempe Police Detective Lilly Duran says the victim was on his way to work when he was held up, then pistol whipped

. After the suspects fired shots, they drove away. None of the gunfire hit the victim.

Duran says the victim was treated for a minor head injury. Duran describes the suspects as two Hispanic men in their ‘20’s who then fled in a four door gray car. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Tempe police or 480-WITNESS. You can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward.
