VROOOMMM!  Car enthusiasts bored with the Barrett-Jackson Auction can take a U-turn and head to the Calvin Charles Gallery for turbo excitement.  It’s called “Curves & Steel” and it features art work from Automotive Artist Danny Day.  Gallery Spokesman Roger Paul says Day pays tribute to the classic Shelby

Cobra that Barrett-Jackson auctioned off for $7.5-million a few years ago and a depiction of Phil Hill winning the Formula 1 World Championship behind the wheel of a Ferrari 156 “Sharknose!”  Inspirational artist Lori Geller will also be on hand showing her elegant art made with factory-made paints in the iconic colors of Ferrari Red, Lamborghini Yellow, and Shelby Blue.  The Gallery will showcase 15 Cobras, a few fiery Ferraris and more!  Paul says “it’s going to be a fun, great, charity event” for the gear-head and artist inside you.

A portion of the proceeds from “Curves & Steel” will benefit Gabriel’s Angels, “Pets Helping Kids.”  The charity provides healing pet therapy to “at risk” children.  The pets nurture the children and helps them adapt during critical stages of development.

Thursday, January 15, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
