A three state search for the infant of a Fort Mohave couple has apparently resulted in the recovery of “Baby Girl Jackson” in north Las Vegas this morning. The parents of the the baby born four months ago in Las Vegas are held in the county jail for refusing to indicate where the girl is.
Mohave County attorney’s office investigator Steve Auld said Nevada Child Services authorities informed him that someone left an infant believed to be Baby Girl Jackson at a safe haven church this morning, indicating that the baby is the one whom authorities have been looking for.
During a hearing before Mohave County Superior Court Judge Steve Conn in Kingman this morning, the attorney for the mother of the baby, Octivia Jackson, 33, said he’s been informed that an infant girl that could be his client’s daughter was dropped off at a safe haven church earlier today. Legal Defender Ron Gileo said if she is released from custody, Jackson is willing to provide a blood draw or DNA sample for authorities to attempt to establish positive identification.
