A Bullhead City man died in a traffic accident Monday night in Fort Mohave and it may have been at the hands of a drunk driver. The Arizona Department of Public Safety believes alcohol was a factor in the accident which occurred on Highway 95, near the Camp Mohave Road intersection shortly before 11:30 p.m. DPS has identified the victim as Joseph Frederick, 57, of Bullhead City. He was northbound on Highway 95 when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle that had crossed the center lane. The head-on collision sent the drivers of both vehicle to the hospital in critical condition. Frederick succumbed to his injuries while at the hospital. The accident forced DPS to close northbound traffic on Highway 95 for more than four hours. Motorists were rerouted onto side streets through Fort Mohave. The Highway was reopened at 4:10 a.m. this morning. DPS is continuing their investigation. The name of the other driver has not been released. His current condition is also unknown.
