The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch for the Bullhead City area with temperatures forecasted to exceed 115-degrees Fahrenheit through the weekend.
The Senior Center will be open on Saturday open from 1pm to 5pm and Sunday open from noon to 8pm
The Bullhead City Community Pool, off Trane Road, has also extended its hours as hot temperatures roll into the Tri-state region. Open Swim will be held on Friday and Saturday from 1-5 p.m. The pool will also host Rock-N-Swim on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. Regular pool fees apply both Friday and Saturday.
The Community Pool will be open on Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. for free swim day, being sponsored by EPCOR Water. No admission will be charged to swim on Sunday.
Everyone is reminded to be ready for the summer heat. Enjoy the City parks and the cool Colorado River access provided for free at numerous City parks. Try to schedule your outdoor, strenuous activities for the cooler early morning or evening hours.
Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light, loose fitting clothing and drink plenty of water.
