A bomb threat evacuated a Buckeye Walmart early Sunday morning.  Officer Hoffmeister with Buckeye Police say a suspicious man walked into a Walmart holding a backpack making references that a bomb was inside his backpack.  Store employees and customers were immediately evacuated.  The parking lot

was closed and the Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigations Bomb Squad arrived on scene and inspected the bag.  No explosives were found. The parking lot was opened and Walmart employees were allowed to return within a couple hours.  The suspect has been detained and charges are pending.  It’s unclear whether the suspect was impaired or suffers from a mental disorder.
