Bullhead City residents will have the opportunity to elect four Bullhead City Council Members this year. The Council Members whose terms expire this year are: Mark R. Clark, Jerry Duvall, Tami Ring, and Sheila Shutts. Council Members are elected for four year terms and receive an honorarium of $750 per month.
The primary election will be held on August 30, 2016 and the general election (also the presidential election) will be held on November 8, 2016. Any candidate who receives, in the primary election, a majority of votes of all the ballots cast (50% + 1), will be declared elected to the office for which he/she is a candidate, as of the date of the general election.
Starting on January 19, 2016, Bullhead City Council nomination packets will be available from the Bullhead City Clerk’s Office, or interested candidates can download the information from the city’s website: www.bullheadcity.com, under “Departments,” “City Clerk,” and “Elections.” Interested candidates can contact City Clerk Sue Stein to make an appointment to pick up a nomination packet or receive additional information on the process.
