Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Ryan Huffman III, 26, of Mohave Valley, early Sunday (8/23) morning for burglary, felony. Investigations began Saturday (8/22) morning regarding a theft report of vehicle rims at a residence in the 10500 block of S Zinc Lane. Witnesses reported seeing Huffman take three chrome rims out of a neighbor’s garage and proceeded walking down the street carrying them. Deputies contacted the victim and he said that he did not give Huffman permission to take the rims. The victim further said that he doesn’t even know Huffman. Deputies attempted to contact Huffman at his nearby residence in the 1800 block of Aqua View Road without success.
Early Sunday (8/23) morning, at about 2:20 a.m., deputies recognized Huffman exit a convenience store in the 10000 block of Highway 95. Deputies knew Huffman was wanted in the reported burglary incident. Deputies contacted Huffman and took him into custody without incident. Deputies questioned Huffman and he said no, he did not take the rims. Further conversations with Huffman, he said his friends have the rims. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
