Police are looking for a man who beat a Mesa City Bus Driver.  Sergeant Derek Elmore with Silent Witness says the driver was attacked by a passenger when he refused to move the bus to a different spot.  Elmore says the passenger asked the driver to move the bus away from a puddle so he wouldn’t get wet when he got off the bus and when the driver said he couldn’t for safety reasons,

the man pummeled the driver about 20 times.  After beating the driver, the suspect got off the bus left on his red beach cruiser bike.  The driver was hospitalized after suffering serious injuries from the attack. The suspect is described as a white man, about six-foot-one, around 30 to 35-years-old and 230 pounds with a dark blond clean-shaven beard.  Elmore says the suspect was with a woman who had pink hair and dark glasses wearing “medical” scrubs.  Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.  A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
