AZ Women Die In ATV Crash In Utah

Two Arizona women have died in a fiery ATV crash in Moab, Utah.  Deputies with the Grand County Sheriff’s Office say 51-year-old Debbie Swann of Apache Junction and 28-year-old Destiny Dixon of Prescott drove their ATV along a path known as “Hells’ Revenge Trail” when they lost control and crashed.  Authorities  found the ATV had burst into flames after crashing on the “Tip Over Challenge” obstacle.  The two women were found near the scene and pronounced dead. —Kris...

Sen. Flake Says GOP Must Distance Itself From Trump

U.S. Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona says the Republican party must distance itself from Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Flake made his comments on CNN’s “State of the Union.“ “Well I’ve said that I think Republicans do need to distance themselves from Donald Trump. I’m not suggesting that John McCain has to do that. He’s running a smart campaign and he has broad and deep support here.” Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made a speech where she accused Trump of making racist appeals to the electorate. “Well I’ve been saying that long before Hillary Clinton was talking about it. I think a lot of us have been. I think that’s the problem that we have.” If Hillary Clinton does win the election, Flake says he would like senate majority leader Mitch McConnell to bring up supreme court nominee Merrick Garland for a vote. “I would like him to bring him up. Drunk Driver Crashes Into Canal

A suspected drunk driver takes a plunge into a Scottsdale canal.  Sergeant Kevin Watts with Scottsdale police says the driver blew past a stop sign and careened through a railing where he ended up in a canal.  Scottsdale Fire crews rescued the driver who was trapped inside the car.  The driver was taken to the hospital with  serious injuries and is expected to survive.  Impairment may have been a factor in the crash.  Four dive teams hooked up the car to a tow truck that pulled the car out after several hours. —Kris...

Dead Body In Apartment Fire

An investigation is underway after Phoenix firefighters find a dead body in an apartment fire.  Captain Rob McDade with the Phoenix Fire Department says crews showed up to an apartment where smoke was billowing from the bedroom.  When crews walked into the bedroom, they noticed smoldering clothes and a fire that was “essentially putting itself out.”  Once the smoke was cleared and the fire was put out, crews found the dead body.  Phoenix Police Sergeant Vince Lewis says the body is a 35-year-old man.   An investigation into his manner of death and cause of the fire is underway.  An autopsy will reveal the cause of death. —Kris...
