Armed Robbery Suspects On The Run

Police are on the lookout for a couple of armed robbery suspects who knocked off a Phoenix convenience store in June.  Sergeant Jaime Rothschild with Silent Witness says the suspects ran into a Circle-K and pistol-whipped the clerk before he even knew what  was happening.  The two then robbed the store of cash and cigarettes all the while terrorizing the clerk waving the gun at his face.  The first suspect is described as an African-American man in his 20’s with a medium build who was wearing a blue bandanna to hide his face.  The second suspect is also an African American man in his 20’s with a blue bandanna, white-rimmed sun glasses and carrying a Sponge Bob backpack.  Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. —Kris...

Man Shot By Two Suspected Car Thieves

A man shot outside his home in South Phoenix is clinging to life.  Sergeant Vince Lewis says a man was leaving for work early Saturday morning when he came across two suspects trying to get into his car.  When the man confronted the two men, they shot him.  The suspects fled the scene and the victim was rushed to the  hospital in extremely critical condition.  Lewis says it’s possible the two suspects are linked to a string a car burglaries in the area. Unofficial Election Results

It’s a photo finish for the race between Andy Biggs and Christine Jones for the Fifth Congressional District that Representative Matt Salmon vacated.  At last count, Biggs has a razor thin edge over Jones by 9 votes.  And the controversy continues when it was discovered a non neutral party showed up to watch over the  votes.  Biggs very own campaign manager was overseeing the vote-count.  When it was discovered, he was booted from the room.  Biggs and Jones are likely to face a run-off vote.  Maricopa county Record Helen Purcell is barely holding onto their post with only 185 votes more than her rival, Aaron Flannery.  Purcell is feeling the backlash after the Presidential Preference Election debacle.  —Kris...

Teen Stabbed For Bike

Chandler police are looking for suspects who beat and stabbed a teen before they took off with his bike.  Sergeant Daniel Mejia says up to five young men were in either a blue or tan sedan when they jumped the 16-year-old boy, beat him, stabbed him and took off with his motorized bike.  The teen was rushed to the  hospital in serious condition with stab wounds to the stomach.  He is expected to survive.   The five teens remain at large. —Kris...
