BABY GIRL JACKSON UPDATE!

The morning after an infant girl believed to be theirs was left at a church in North Las Vegas, the parents of “Baby Girl Jackson” made separate Thursday court appearances in Kingman, Arizona. Fort Mohave residents Nicholios Nealy, 37, and Octivia Jackson, 33, are in custody for their alleged failure to cooperate with Arizona authorities who have been trying to find their newborn. 15 YEAR PRISON TERM FOR SR 95 DUI FATALITY

A 15-year prison sentence was imposed Monday, June 5 for a Bullhead City man who pled guilty in a drunk driving traffic fatality. The punishment for 28-year-old Shane Richardson was stipulated in a plea agreement convicting him of manslaughter in the February, 2016 death of Joseph Frederick, 57, Bullhead City. The Department of Public Safety said a vehicle operated by Richardson crossed the center lane of Highway 95 before colliding with Frederick’s vehicle on Highway 95 in Fort Mohave. WEST COUNTY SCHOOLS SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM

Six area elementary, junior high and high schools are again participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s summer food service programs. Elementary and junior high school meals are available through June 2 and next week from June 5 through 9 while summer school is in session. Mohave High School’s summer meal program runs through June 30 and will be available for all children in the community after the other programs end. Times vary by campus.
