A brand new Walmart Supercenter opens for business in Fort Mohave Wednesday. 7:00 a.m. performances by the Fort Mojave Tribal Band and Bird Singers will set the stage for the grand opening event at 7:30 a.m. The 155,000 square foot supercenter located at 5210 S. SCHOOL REGISTRATION UNDERWAY

Registration for the new school year begins in earnest this week for all nine schools in the Bullhead City Elementary (BCESD) and Colorado River Union High School (CRUHSD) Districts. Students return August 2. District officials emphasized the importance of registering before the school year starts rather than waiting until school has begun. Registration packets are available online at www.crsk12.org and should be filled out in advance. Proof of residency criteria, along with transcript and vaccination information, are also online, or may be obtained from each school.   Mosquito surveillance conducted this week by the Mohave County Environmental Health Division (MCEHD) revealed several locations that met the protocol to conduct fogging. The MCEHD uses the CDC’s recommended matrix as a guide of when to fog. FOGGING: Adult mosquito control application will begin on Friday evening June 30th, around 8:00 pm, weather permitting. A local investigator said authorities are 99% certain that an infant dropped off at a Las Vegas church is the same “Baby Girl Jackson” (BGJ) that has been the subject of a multi-state search while her parents are jailed in Kingman.
