26 VEHICLE PILEUP ON U.S. 93 OUTSIDE KINGMAN

   26 vehicles collided accordion style on the main highway leading from Las Vegas into Arizona Monday. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) said the calls for service for multiple traffic accidents on U.S. 93 about two miles north of the Kingman city limits began rolling in at 7:55 a.m. Agency spokesman Quentin Mehr said the first accident involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle. TEEN ALLEGES ABUSE BY MALE ADULT RELATIVE

A Golden Valley man is charged with multiple sex offenses involving a teenage relative. An investigation began after the 17-year-old girl revealed allegations to a Kingman High School resource officer on Monday, January 23. Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives subsequently arrested Shawn Cameron, 41. “Investigations revealed a 17-year-old female victim has been sexually assaulted by Cameron, a family member, at their residence in the 3400 block of N Kayenta Road,” said spokeswoman Trish Carter. “Further investigations determined the abuse was on-going.” The victim was removed from the home by Department of Child Safety officials. CRASH VICTIM IDENTIFIED

The Department of Public Safety said a local resident was killed June 11 in a two vehicle collision in the northwest Arizona community of Golden Valley. Spokesman Bart Graves said Richard Cotter, 73, was dead at the scene of the 9:05 p.m. accident on highway 68. Graves said Cotter was not wearing a seatbelt and was fatally injured when ejected through the windshield of the Toyota LandCruiser he was driving. TRAFFIC FATALITY ON HIGHWAY 68

Golden Valley Fire District (GVFD) personnel and Department of Public Safety (DPS) officers responded at 9:06 p.m., Wednesday, to a two vehicle accident at Mile Post 21 on Highway 68 in Golden Valley. Upon arrival at the accident scene, the firefighters located one of the drivers laying on the ground  that had been ejected from his vehicle. GVFD firefighters attempted to revive the male driver, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
