  The Department of Public Safety has released the name of the victim on a fatal traffic accident in the northwest Arizona community of Golden Valley. DPS said Kenneth Field, 61, a Golden Valley resident, was dead at the scene of the 6:49 a.m. accident on highway 68. The agency said Field was driving a 2006 Toyoto pickup truck that went off the highway, struck a culvert and overturned. The accident remains under investigation. SHOOTING DEATH INVESTIGATED IN GOLDEN VALLEY

The Mohave County Sheriff’s office is investigating a deadly altercation in the northwest Arizona community of Golden Valley. Agency spokeswoman Trish Carter said deputies responded at 2:40 a.m. Saturday, April 1 to a home in the 3500 block of N Magma Road. Carter said Matthew Joseph Ochoa, 27, Golden Valley, was dead at the scene. She said investigators believe Ochoa stabbed another man and that the unidentified subject shot and killed Ochoa. A man wanted for sex crimes involving two young girls in Golden Valley has been arrested out of state. The Mohave County Sheriff’s office said Malakai Thomas Benta, 31, Golden Valley said Benta was a suspect in the ongoing sexual abuse of girls aged 12 and 14 at a residence in the 3200 block of Bryce Road. A plea agreement resolves misdemeanor charges filed against a woman who formerly operated the RUFF animal shelter in Golden Valley. Hillarie Allison, 60, has relocated to Roseville, California and her case was completed by attorneys in Justice Court on Tuesday, March 7. Allison is convicted of three counts of cruelty to animals.
