ROBBERY KINGMAN – SUSPECT AT- LARGE, CONSIDERED ARMED & DANGEROUS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Gas N Grub on East  at North Benton Street, Sunday (7/27) morning at about 6:25 a.m. The suspect entered the business and told the clerk to give him money and no one would get hurt. The suspect did not brandish a weapon, but the clerk thought he had a weapon on his person. The suspect was wearing a bandana with a plastic bag on his head and some material was covering his face. ROAD MAINTENANCE

In the Arizona Strip, crews will be making repairs on Mud Mountain Rd. and Lime Kiln Rd. In the Meadview area, blades will be active on Gregg’s Hideout Rd.Off Hwy 93, crews will be repairing westbound White Hills Rd. near MP6.  Near Dolan Springs, a blade will be on 7 th St. from Hwy 93 to Joseph Rd. In the Kingman area, crews will be doing storm repair in the Butler area,cleaning drainage areas and patching potholes, from Sierra Rd. to Hwy 66. Additionally, a blade will be active in the Cactus Wren area. Off I-40 east of Kingman, a blade will be working on Blake Ranch Rd. Off Route 66, the blade will be continuing on Antares Rd. In Golden Valley, the blades will be active in the areas of: NE – Bosque & Aztec / Hwy 68 to Burro; NW – Estrella / Agua Fria to Troy; SE – Verde to Aztec & Bolsa to Shipp; SW – Egar to Laguna & Balsa to Redwall. Traffic Control crews will begin painting edgeline striping on the west side of the Valley, on Egar Rd., Shinarump Dr., Estrella Rd., Laguna Rd. and Teddy Roosevelt Rd. Voter Registration Deadline for Primary Election Nears

PHOENIX – The Office of the Secretary of State will host a Voter Registration Drive on Monday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. outside the Arizona State Capitol, Executive Tower in Phoenix. Arizona citizens have until midnight to register to vote or update voter registration to cast a ballot in the upcoming August 26th Primary Election. “It is encouraging to see the citizens of Arizona taking seriously their role in government,” said Secretary of State Ken Bennett. “The ability to vote for our leaders is a fundamental right more people should exercise.” To be eligible to register, a person must be a citizen of the United States, 18 or older as well as a resident of Arizona and the county listed on the person’s registration. To view personal voter registration information, go online to the Secretary of State’s website at www.azsos.gov and click on the Voter View icon. Information on a person’s current registration, polling place, party affiliation and more is available. Registration is also available online at www.ServiceArizona.com.
