ROAD MAINTENANCE

Monsoon season is in full swing and weather can change suddenly, sometimes resulting in sudden or unexpected flooding. Mohave County Public Works urges drivers to be aware of weather conditions and forecasts. In instances where County-maintained roads and streets sustain damage from monsoon weather, road maintenance crews will prioritize the repair, restoration, and cleanup of affected roads over some regularly scheduled maintenance activities. In the Arizona Strip, a blade will be working on Mud Mountain Rd. In the Meadview area, crews will be involved with storm cleanup and repairs. If time allows, workers will be patching potholes as needed. A blade will be repairing storm damage on Gregg’s Hideout Rd. before moving onto Pierce Ferry Rd. shoulders. Off Hwy 93 north of Kingman, a blade will be doing storm repair on Temple Bar Rd. while farther south, another blade will be working on Cottonwood Rd. In the Kingman area, crews in the Butler area will be repairing drainages on Northern Ave. and Diagonal Way to connect to the catch basin at the intersection of Castle Rock Rd. and Northern Ave. A blade will be working in the Cactus Wren area. In Golden Valley, crews will be working on storm cleanup and repair. After completing work on Oatman Hwy., crews will move to the area of Shinarump Dr. and Garnet Rd. In the Mohave Valley area, if time allows after storm cleanup and repairs, crews  will be mowing...
