The Topock fire south of Needles is 50% contained. Authorities said the wet weather has helped prevent spread of the fire that started on the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge early Wednesday morning. Oatman Highway Improvement Advisory

In order to improve traffic safety, Mohave County, in conjunction with ADOT and Intermountain West Civil Constructors, Inc., will be applying thermoplastic centerline and edgeline striping on approximately 7.5 miles of Oatman Highway as part of a High Risk Rural Road Project. Intermountain West will begin work on March 21, 2016, and anticipates completion on or about March 24, 2016.
