ROAD MAINTENANCE

Monsoon season is in full swing and weather can change suddenly, sometimes resulting in sudden or unexpected flooding. Mohave County Public Works urges drivers to be aware of weather conditions and forecasts. In instances where County-maintained roads and streets sustain damage from monsoon weather, road maintenance crews will prioritize the repair, restoration, and cleanup of affected roads over some regularly scheduled maintenance activities. In the Arizona Strip, a blade will be working in the Lime Kiln Canyon area. In the Meadview area, crews will be involved with storm cleanup and repairs. If time allows, workers will be patching potholes and road edges as needed. In the Chloride/Dolan Springs area, storm cleanup will continue throughout the week. In the Kingman area, a blade will be active on Antares Rd. Off of I-40 the blade will be active in the Silver Springs area. In Golden Valley, the blades will be working together on storm cleanup and repairs throughout the area all week. In the Mohave Valley area, storm cleanup will focus on the Sacramento Wash crossings in the area from Topock to Golden Shores, and Silver Creek Rd. Near Yucca, a blade will be in the Mindy Mill area. In the Lake Havasu City area, Little Finger Culvert cleanout in Horizon 6 is continuing, as well as sweeping in Horizon 6. In the Wikieup area blading will take place on Bogles Ranch Rd.
