  A north Kingman resident was arrested for child abuse following an argument with his girlfriend and an encounter with her daughter. The violence occurred July 21 at a residence in the 4200 block of N Arizona Street, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s office. A Kingman faces a number of drug related charges following his July 21 arrest on justice court warrants for failure to pay fines and make court dates. A man who recently moved to north Kingman was arrested over the weekend for child abuse. The Mohave County Sheriff’s office began investigating after a woman walking her dog encountered a barefoot girl walking on hot asphalt early Saturday, July 22. The ten year-old girl told the woman and deputies that her father drove her into the desert and abandoned her. She was trying to walk home when she met the dog walker. PELLET GUN ASSAULT

Bullhead City Police were called to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center early Thursday morning for a report of a man who was shot with a pellet air rifle multiple times. The victim and his girlfriend reported that 61-year-old Terry Harold James gave them a car ride and James became angry. A Kingman man was caught illegally dumping miscellaneous household waste in the Kingman desert. Christopher McKinney, 35, was booked on two warrants. The man was also charged with criminal littering for commercial purposes and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, all class 6 felonies.
