TOP BULL RIDERS COMPETE SATURDAY

   Championship Bull Riding (CBR) will bring the third annual Colorado River Chute Out back to the Laughlin Event Center on Saturday, Sept. 10. Presented by the Laughlin Tourism Commission, the event will feature 24 of the best bull riders, including reigning world champion Sage Steele Kimzey as well as last year’s champion Cody Rostockyj.    The competition’s total purse is more than $30,000 in cash and prizes and will consist of a three-round tournament-style format, including a four-man shoot out finale. SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL SEPT. 16

Talented musicians will be celebrated at the 4th Annual Songwriters Festival. The festival will feature a diverse lineup of talented songwriters from Lake Havasu City and surrounding areas. All ticket sales from this event will be donated to the K12 Foundation to help save music and arts programs in local schools. CLASSIC CAR SHOW

Scores of restored vintage vehicles will be displayed at the Hot August Nights car show in Kingman. The Saturday, August 27 event is scheduled from 5:00-9:00 p.m. in the Cerbat Lanes parking lot on Stockton Hill Road.   The City of Kingman is hosting a Fourth of July weekend Block Party Celebration in the vicinity of the City complex downtown . Free hot dogs, watermelon, soft drinks, water and music will be provided during the festivities on Saturday, July 2.
