Arizona authorities report a state trooper rescued a teenager who was being transported to Las Vegas for sex trafficking. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) said the trooper became suspicious after conducting a routine traffic stop of a northbound vehicle on U.S. 93 north of Kingman on January 11. FATAL FIRE INVESTIGATED IN LAUGHLIN

A fatal fire is under investigation at the Crown Point Apartment Homes in Laughlin. Clark County Fire Department spokesman Jeff Buchanan said personnel responded at 5:44 p.m. Monday to the fire at the apartment complex on the Needles highway. Crews extinguished the fire within ten minutes before locating a deceased subject in the burned unit on the upper level of the two story structure.
