    Brian Paulson has begun his new job as Laughlin Town Manager. Paulson assumed his new position on Monday, June 6, succeeding the recently retired Jackie Bradie. An Iowa native, Paulson is a 26-year resident of Las Vegas who started his career with Clark County as a management intern in 1989. Paulson had served as a Community Development Grants Coordinator with Clark County’s Community Resources Management Division. LAUGHLIN HOMICIDE PROBE

Las Vegas Metro Police Homicide detectives were dispatched to Laughlin early Wednesday to investigate the discovery of a body in Laughlin. Public Information officer Larry Hadfield said local police responded at 2:21 a.m. after a citizen discovered the body and notified authorities. Officer Hadfield said an adult, white male believed to be in his 50’s or 60’s was dead at the scene where located on the south end of the Heritage Trails Bridge, west of Casino Drive.
