During a Monday celebratory luncheon, John Hastings, President of the Mohave County Airport Authority, announced American Airlines will begin nonstop service between Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport (IFP) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) beginning February 16, 2017. Davis Dam spans the Colorado River in Pyramid Canyon 67 miles downstream from Hoover Dam and 88 miles upstream from Parker Dam. The Mexican Treaty of 1944 required the United States to construct Davis Dam for regulation of water to be delivered to Mexico. MISSING MAN FOUND DEAD

The body of a Laughlin resident who went missing last month has been found on the other side of the Colorado River in Bullhead City, Arizona. Jose “Daniel” Caballero, 80, who suffered from Alzheimer’s, was reported missing by family members on August 18. Bullhead City police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said a man jogging in the desert located human remains Tuesday afternoon.
