Volunteers Needed for National Public Lands Day

Be prepared to get dirty! Bring your rakes, shovels, working gloves, sun-block, a beach chair, and a hat to the shoreline of “That Beach” located along the northwest area of the Island between Crazy Horse Campground and the lighthouse north of Site Six, Saturday, September 27, 2014, to celebrate National Public Lands Day. Planned activities include cleaning up trash and dressing the beach. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m., with activities planned to last until noon. All volunteers will receive a FREE lunch.  Register at the event or in advance by completing a volunteer waiver form. If you are with a group or organization, it is recommended that you register in advance. Please note, all minors must have the volunteer waiver form signed by their parent or legal guardian and not their program director. National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance public lands. Join Lake Havasu City officials and thousands of other Americans across the country to celebrate. We all benefit from public lands, and National Public Lands Day is a great opportunity for all of us to give back to our community and spend time outdoors.  For more information and to register, contact Gary Parsons, Operations Director, at (928)...
