Michael Alan’s Sleepless in Havasu Raises Money to Fight Breast Cancer Locally

(Lake Havasu City, Arizona) — Michael Alan Furniture & Design, the 2015 National Retailer of the year as awarded by the North America Home Furnishings Association, is ramping up for its 9th Annual Michael Alan’s “Sleepless in Havasu” fundraiser to support local breast cancer awareness. The annual event has now raised over $213,000 for the past 9 years for the local Cancer Association of Havasu’s Low Cost Mammogram Program and other related programs. The 2017 Michael Alan’s “Sleepless in Havasu” fundraiser starts in late September and runs through October, however, donations are welcome year round at Michael Alan Furniture and Design. The event begins Friday, September 22, 2017 at 6:00 AM with a 24-hour sleepless-a-thon at Michael Alan Furniture and Design. Every year the Mayor kicks off the event (as it’s been officially declared a Proclamation Day) as around 30 ladies gather at Michael Alan Furniture and Design and stay awake for 24-hours. The event will again be held at Michael Alan Furniture and Design’s neighbor America’s Mattress of Lake Havasu City. The fun and festivities kick off with voting for the most outlandishly decorated mattress each following a similar theme, which will be “Dr. Seuss” this year. SAINT Wag and Wine Dinner and Wine Tasting Fundraiser

SAINT is pleased to announce its 6th Annual Wag and Wine Fundraiser, Saturday, October 14th from 4:30 to 7:30 at the REALTOR® Conference Center at 841 Hancock Rd. in Bullhead City, AZ. The event, sponsored by Tri-State Pain Institute, will feature a wine tasting with bartenders serving wines from around the world, and delicious Italian fare provided by D’Angelo’s Italian Restaurant. Guests will also enjoy prize raffles, a 50/50 drawing and a silent auction. This year, SAINT has invited Erica Callais Fallbaum to introduce PEP!, The Pet Education Project, which is an education and outreach program that teaches children the core responsibilities of pet ownership, focusing on some of the following topics: • Basics of Pet Care • Pets Are a Lifetime Commitment • Importance of Spay and Neuter • Animal Safety • Promoting and Increasing Adoptions in local communities SAINT is also debuting a cookbook, featuring recipe’s for pets and humans alike, sent by local residents. Kingman Helping Texas

A couple from Kingman, Tracy Langley and Shane Isbell, who are owner-operator truck drivers, will be leaving for Texas in their semi early Thursday morning to work with Texas-based pet rescue organizations to help save family pets affected by the flooding. A number of Kingman residents have graciously offered to donate needed items, and they will all be meeting at the parking lot of Centennial Park on Wednesday, August 30, to drop off their donations so Tracy and Shane can transport them to Texas.
