New Organization for Girls in Lake Havasu

Lake Havasu City has a newly chartered organization for girls between the ages of 11 and 20.  The International Order of Rainbow for Girls began in 1922 in McAllister, Oklahoma but this is the first time that the organization has chartered an assembly in Lake Havasu. The local Fidelity Assembly in Lake Havasu is a nonprofit organization that strives to give girls the tools, training, and encouragement to let their individual spirits shine bright. By providing members with a safe, fun, caring environment where responsible, older girls can interact and mentor younger girls through family involvement.  Girls participate in fun events and activities, keep up with new friends, and travel to different cities and states.  Members experience the excitement of what a productive life has to offer.  From volunteering for different charities, to working to improve their public speaking, to mastering the lessons of Rainbow, members tackle lots of challenging hurdles but ultimately walk away with a sense of pride and accomplishment.  Whether they dream of becoming a successful veterinarian, a talented musician, or a loving mother, Rainbow Girls learn that they can accomplish anything and that they can make a difference and can also earn scholarships toward their college goals. More business, less stress

The question most business people ask is how they can get more business in the door.  Literally thousands of books have been written about this but the answer may be far easier than you think.   There are just two kinds of people out there:  People who do business with you and people who do not.  What’s the difference between the two?  THAT my friends is the $64,000 question.   Before spend thousands to hire some marketing form to read the tea leaves, sit down and figure out how much you already know.  Look at each customer who comes into your business.  What did they buy?  Have you seen them before?  How much do you know about them?  Have you ever written it down?  If you start this process, within days you will start to find trends.  Feeling a bit bold?  How about asking a question… just one question to everyone this week.  Try a simple question like:  “What do you like best about this place?”.  You may be surprised by what you find out.  Then take a look at the people who gave the answers and see what they have in common.  ex:  Most women said they like our hours.  Men said things were easy to find.  Older people liked the close-in parking.   Okay now you have some data.  Not a lot but more than you did...

Artists:  Our call to artists invited you as emerging and established artists to submit artwork for our juried group show, “Vietnam War Service, People, and Experience”, of art that the veteran’s service, the people, the experience–all relating to the Vietnam War. The jurors will be looking for work capturing the positive experience of those who served to defend the people of South Vietnam.  You are sent this reminder because you have expressed an interest in participating in this exhibit. The actual art exhibit opening at the museum is October 18, but I was hoping that some of you may want your art displayed at our annual event honoring Arizona’s Vietnam veterans on October 4. This will be a great event as the previous three were. The original deadline for submission of artwork (via photos) was October September 6 to select some art for the dinner/event on October 4. (See invitation and RSVP attached).   You have some time after that (a week or so) to submit for the actual art exhibit in the museum.  Attached are various images relating to Vietnam if you seek more inspiration.  I got them all online. This is just a reminder to “tickle” your actions in your already busy schedule.  If you have questions, feel free to call me at 520-868-6777 or 602-509-8762.  Thank you for your interest, your support, and for sharing your talent.
