The Eighth Annual MCC Foundation Route 66 Scholarship Dinner and Auction is just around the corner! It will be held on Saturday, May 6th, during the Fun Run event in Kingman. This fabulous event is a fundraising event to provide scholarships for students at Mohave Community College.

The dinner, sponsored by the Mohave Community College Foundation, will take place at the newly remodeled Beale Street Celebrations, 201 North Fourth Street, with cocktails starting at 5:30pm and dinner catered by Chef Michael Gaul starting at 6:30pm. The menu includes a garden salad, Slow Roasted Boneless Pork Loin with Orange Teriyaki Glaze; Seasoned Baked Chicken Breast with Sesame Asian Sauce; Fried Vegetable Rice; Glazed Baby Carrots & Buttered Peas; bread and dessert.

This fabulous event, featuring fantastic food, music provided by “The Aces” and awesome auction items, has helped over 150 students with their education expenses in the past and many more will be helped this year due to the event. These scholarships are changing lives.

Numerous businesses and individuals have made donations, both financial and auction items for the event. Gregg Arnold, local artist, has created a beautiful wind sculpture for the auction. A trip to California, one of Doug Adam’s Table Top Bells, numerous gift baskets will be included and Route 66 Travel Bags filled with a variety of items valued at over $150 will be sold for $50 to the first 24 buyers.
