A Bullhead City man charged with the murder of his friend’s young daughter makes admissions in a postcard he mailed to his father. Justin Rector, 27, sent the communication from the Mohave County jail in Kingman to his father James Rector in Bullhead City. Disclosure of the postcard by Bullhead City in the investigation of the murder of 8-year-old Isabella “Bella” Grogan-Canella stems from a formal public records request submitted on February 20. Authorities are seeking the death penalty while prosecuting Rector for the asphyxiation murder of Bella.“I have to take responsibility for what I’ve done,” Rector said in the postcard in which he addressed his father as ‘Papa.’ “I can’t believe this happened either. I don’t know why I did (it) and I can’t take it back.”Rector’s attorney Harry Moore was not immediately available for comment.
