boltA young man who admits having an improper interest in child pornography is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Lee Jantzen imposed an eight year prison term for Brandon Bolt, 21, at a February 25 sentencing hearing. The prison term is connected to Bolt’s guilty plea to a reduced charged of luring a minor for sexual exploitation. Authorities said Bolt sent an image of his own anatomy and engaged in improper online communication with an eleven-year-old girl nearly a year ago. Judge Jantzen imposed a lifetime probation charge for a separate conviction involving discovery of a child pornography image on his cell phone. Public Defender Harry Moore said Bolt’s personal immaturity may help explain in interest in underage females. He said Bolt regrets the embarrassment he has caused himself and his family, and that he has been forthcoming and apologetic about these issues. “I’m sorry for what I’ve done,” Bolt told the Judge. “I’m disgusted with what I’ve done and I need to learn more about it.”
