Two people perished in a helicopter crash at the southern end of Mohave County in western Arizona. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office search and rescue personnel responded at 12:20 a.m. Friday to an area just north of Alamo Lake.
The Sheriff’s office said another agency was looking into an overdue flight from Prescott to Riverside, California. Pings from a cell phone from one of the victims helped officials reach the crashsite.
“Investigations determined the two male subjects on board were deceased,” a news release said. “Identification of the victims is pending.”
The FAA and NTSB have been notified for incident investigation.
