Voters in the three largest cities in Mohave County will be filling city council slots and one mayor’s chair during the August and November primary and general election cycle. But there are different windows of candidacy opportunity in each of the municipalities.
Eligible and interested residents can already pick up election packets at the Clerk’s Office in Bullhead City. They include some instruction as well as nominating petitions that are used to qualify candidacy.
Terms of office are expiring in Bullhead City for council members Mark Clark, Jerry Duvall, Tami Ring and Sheila Shutts.
Terms of office are expiring this year in Lake Havasu City for Dean Barlow, Don Callahan and Donna Brister. City Clerk Kelly Williams said nomination packets will become available in Lake Havasu City sometime in February.
City Clerk Sydney Muhle said nomination packets for Kingman races will be available some time in April. Completing their current terms of office are Mayor Richard Anderson, Vice Mayor Carole Young and Council members Larry Carver and Kenneth Dean.
